Allison Long - GHS-TV Executive Producer

Allison Long is a 1994 graduate of Germantown High School.  After 10 years of teaching Communication Arts and Introduction to Film and Video at Germantown High School, Mrs. Long now serves and Executive Director of GHS-TV and Chairman of the Department of the Creative and Performing Arts. Mrs. Long attended Baylor University where she received a B.B.A. in Broadcasting. Before returning to Germantown, she worked with Susquehanna Broadcasting, CBS Promotions Group and ABC Radio in Dallas.  She is the former state director for the Tennessee chapter of the Educational Theatre Association, currently serves on the Leadership Germantown board of directors and is involved with various organizations in the surrounding area.

Leonid Mazor - Television Producer 


Leonid Mazor began his work as a professional theatre director in 1976, when he became the producer and director of the Student Theatre at the Moscow Technology University in Russia. Leonid has been involved as an actor and director in over 70 major television and theatre productions in Russia and America. His credits include assignments as both a director and performer for the popular Russian comedy show Club of Jokers (KVN). Mazor also directed numerous plays from the classic and modern repertoire of both American and Russian theatres.In 1995, Mr. Mazor became a full-time theatre arts and video instructor at Germantown High School. From 1995 – 2004, he directed the Poplar Pike Playhouse’s fall productions and also served as co-director for the Playhouse’s musicals. After leaving Germantown High School in 2005, he returned to Moscow, Russia, where he started work as independent producer, director and screenwriter for numerous cinema productions in Russia. His works include several adaptations of American sitcoms, such as “Grace under Fire”, “Suddenly Susan” and “Sanford and Son”. He also created a Russian adaptation of classical American novel “ American Tragedy ” by Theodore Dreiser, which became an award winning TV series “ Life that never exists…”, and adapted version of American TV series “House”, called “ Doctor For several years he served as Chief Executive Officer of Production and Creative Services of Ukrainian Independent TV-corporation, “Inter TV-channel” in Kiev, Ukraine.In 2006 he organized “Interschool” -  the first school in Ukraine that specialized in TV. It functions as a high-class TV specialists training center and provides training for producers, directors, scriptwriters, journalists and cameramen. Mazor served their as Chairman of School. His works can still be seen on major Russian television networks. His TV series and TV movies have received important television awards, and are well known and highly recognized among viewers and critics. Leonid Mazor is an honorable member of two major television Academies in Russia - Eurasian Academy of Television and Radio and Russian Academy of Television.

Ashleigh Williams - Film & Video and Communication Arts Teacher

Proving that you can, indeed, go home again, Ashleigh Sigfried Williams has returned to her home among the Germantown High School Fine Arts faculty and Poplar Pike Playhouse staff. As the artistic director for the Poplar Pike Playhouse, she directs the Playhouse's spring musicals. In the classroom, she serves as an instructor for two courses: film and video, and communication arts. This is Ms. Williams' second stint on the GHS Fine Arts Faculty, having first taught at GHS from 2001 to 2005. A 1994 graduate of GHS, Ms. Williams performed on the PPP stage in such shows as Oklahoma!ChessOnce on this Island and Can’t Stop Dancin’ and served as the anchor of GHS-TV's Wake Up, Germantown!. Before returning home to GHS prior to the 2013-14 school year, Ms. Williams served as the theatre director at Briarcrest Christian High School from 2005 to 2013. Over the course of eight years, she built the Briarcrest theatre department from the ground up, pushing the envelope with ambitious productions that included Beauty and the BeastLes MisérablesAnything Goes and Tarzan: The Musical. Those four productions garnered 34 nominations during the first four years of The Orpheum Theatre's High School Musical Theatre Awards program and earned 13 awards--including a Best Director award for Ms. Williams' work on Les Misérables. Ms. Williams' directing credits also include: Oklahoma!Hello, Dolly!Into the WoodsShe Loves MeThe FantastiksShout! The Mod Musical; and Forever Plaid. Some of Williams' favorite performing credits at the professional and collegiate level include: Oklahoma!GreaseShe Loves MeChicagoThe Mystery of Edwin Drood and Guys and Dolls. A longtime dance and vocal student of Elizabeth Anne Brown's Performing Arts of Germantown, Williams holds a Bachelor of Arts in musical theatre from the University of Tulsa and a Master of Fine Arts in acting from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville.

Catie ward - Film & Video Teacher


Catie Ward is a Germantown High School alumni. She recently served as the stage manager for Tennessee Shakespeare Company.  Her TSC credits include The Complete Works of William Shakespeare AbridgedIt's a Wonderful Life: A Talk Radio PlayMacbethSouthern Yuletide, the school's tour of Romeo and JulietThe Tempest and The Glass Menagerie. Catie comes from Nashville, where she worked as a stage manager.  She was a stage management assistant for the pre-Broadway production of The Nutty Professor directed by Jerry Lewis.  A few of her theatre credits include Studio Tenn's The Glass Menagerie; Chaffin's Barn Dinner Theatre's Sherlock Holmes and It's a Wonderful Wife; 3Ps Production’s John & Jen and Long Way DownParallel LivesOklahomaRamona QuimbyBabySpirit: The Authentic Story of the Bell Witch of Tennessee; and Nashville Shakespeare Festival's The Tempest. She is a graduate of Middle Teneessee State University, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Theatre.

Mallory Kenney - SCS Writer/Producer

Mallory Kenney is a 2004 graduate of Germantown High School. She went on to attend the University of Missouri's School of Journalism where she received a Bachelor of Journalism with an emphasis in Broadcast News. Before coming to GHS, Mrs. Kenney spent 7 years at FOX 13 here in Memphis, including 5 years as a producer for the station's morning new program Good Morning Memphis.

Bobby Ramsay - GHS-TV Broadcast Engineer

Bobby Ramsay is a 2004 graduate of Germantown High School. As a senior in the GHS Fine Arts Department, Mr. Ramsay served as general manager of GHS-TV and as lighting director of Wake Up, Germantown!, won a National Student Television Award of Excellence from the organization that presents television’s coveted Emmy awards. In 2008, Mr. Ramsay graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a Bachelor of Science in Electronic Media Production. Mr. Ramsay served as an intern for News Channel 5 and has worked freelance in the Nashville area. Some of his freelance projects include the 2008 Nashville Regional Emmy awards and Soundcheck: Season 2, which highlights musical groups from the Nashville and Murfreesboro area.

Michael wheeler - scsr videographer / editor

Michael Wheeler is a graduate of Surabaya International School in Indonesia. He joined the high school theater department as an actor and stagehand. After graduation, he studied a year of radio broadcasting at John Brown University in Arkansas and then moved to Sydney, Australia. He continued his studies as a TV and Media student at Hill song International Leadership College. He learned cinematography, stage cameras for live music events, directing, as well as producing. Upon completion in 2005, Wheeler moved to Memphis, Tennessee to earn his BA of Fine Arts in video production in 2009. He also started his broadcast news career gaining 13 years of experience. He has covered major sporting events, weather disasters, hard news, as well as special sweeps story reports. Wheeler has spent time in the backseat as a helicopter camera operator. He became a certified satellite truck operator and HD drone camera operator for Raycom News. Outside of news, Wheeler has freelanced wedding photography and videography for local brides. Wheeler is also a certificated airplane pilot and flies small propeller airplanes in his free time. Wheeler is also a musician and plays electric and acoustic guitar, bass guitar, drums, and piano. When he is not doing any of these things, he enjoys traveling, going to the movies, visiting the local theater, and ultimate Frisbee. As a long time Memphian, he is eager to add his international experience to GHS-TV.

Carolyn mitchell - film and video teacher

Carolyn Mitchell is one of the Film and Video teachers here at Germantown High School. She has over ten years of teaching experience working in the SCS district. Ms. Mitchell believes an education is the most valuable asset in the world and she is so excited to grant the opportunity of knowledge to all of her students every day she teaches a lesson.
